Consuming a Blue Soul causes the Soul Robber to turn blue for a short period of time, augmenting its strength and giving it bottomless energy while the effects last. ![]() The heavier the object, the faster the energy detracts. However, grabbing something consumes the Soul Robber's energy: the longer it holds onto a monster or item, the more its color will fade from green to red, and when it becomes fully red, it lets go of what it was holding onto and retracts. If Jack spins around the Soul Robber to charge up its energy before grabbing something, Jack will spin it around instead, creating a tornado effect that damages anything nearby. Lashing it out at nearby collectibles will add them to the inventory, and it can also grab opponents or non-collectible items and slam them into the ground or throw them. When Jack lashes out, it can strike enemies in the form of a rope-dart, a scythe, or a mace. When monsters are close by, the Soul Robber trails around Jack's hand like a rope and/or ribbon. When the gameplay begins, the Soul Robber is Jack's only method of combating Oogie's monsters. When Jack came to the doctor for advice on making a new, more exciting Halloween, Finkelstein gave him the Soul Robber, which immediately latched onto Jack's wrist and demonstrated its shape-shifting by snatching a nearby Jack-O-Lantern. ![]() The Soul Robber is a rubbery green creature that Dr. Jack Skellington is the creepy heart and soul of Nightmare Before Christmas, and he has some great quotes throughout the film Jack Skellington might have the appearance of a scary character, but in reality, The Nightmare Before Christma s lead is just an incredibly loveable and caring individual. The Soul Robber is a green slime (possibly sentient) wrapped around Jack's wrist like a gauntlet and can change shape whenever Jack uses it.
